Kyiv Media School is a groundbreaking initiative of the Media Development Foundation, created in partnership with the ERSTE Foundation. It was launched in February 2024.
In a rapidly evolving media landscape — shaped by the digital revolution and the ongoing struggle for truth in an era of disinformation — there is an urgent need for a new generation of media professionals.
The school aims to bridge this gap by educating journalists and media professionals who combine time-honored ethical principles with cutting-edge skills. Through a modern curriculum, experienced practitioners, and advanced learning opportunities, the school fosters a transparent, innovative, and ethically driven media environment in Eastern Europe.
Kyiv Media School offers two course formats:
- short-term (three months);
- long-term (nine months).
In its first year, the school graduated 67 students, conducted 8 courses, and held 1 specialized program.
