Marek Miller, Teaching Fellow at the Google News Lab, held a workshop on fact-checking for us. Just before the parliamentary elections we’ve discussed how to avoid deep fakes, verify news and work with witnesses.
Marek also explained what free and open resources he uses in his everyday work — from sunlight angle calculator to image metadata analysis.

Media Development Foundation organized a 3-day hackathon for journalists from 10 independent media. The hackathon’s aim was to generate new ideas and formats to cover elections and to stay appealing and useful for the youth.
